OneCareAI launches the first version of its mobile App, available for iOS and Android, marking a milestone in stroke prevention through AI technology

OneCareAI, the newly established spinoff of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center-Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC), and powered by the Innostroke project, has officially launched the first version of its innovative mobile app, available for iOS and Android. The app enables constant, non-invasive monitoring of a patient’s electrocardiogram (ECG) data.
OneCareAI has launched the first version of its app, designed to revolutionize stroke prevention using advanced digital technologies and artificial intelligence. This innovative tool, developed within the Innostroke project and already accessible, allows for continuous monitoring of a patient’s heart condition by integrating ECG data collected from mobile devices such as smartwatches. Additionally, the app incorporates lifestyle information and uses predictive algorithms that analyse patterns in real time to anticipate potential anomalies linked to stroke risk.
This solution is also prepared for the future integration of genetic and molecular biomarker analysis, which will provide even more detailed and specific results. This integration will significantly improve data accuracy and enable more effective preventative recommendations. This proactive approach not only aims to predict stroke risk, it also seeks to improve patients’ quality of life through continuous and personalized monitoring.
In this first version of the app, patients can easily register their ECG data in real time and obtain a general overview of their vital signs. Through the app, healthcare professionals will have access to a comprehensive analysis of the information, enabling them to assess the risk of cerebrovascular diseases and define preventive strategies. Notably, all data interpretation will be performed exclusively by the healthcare professional, ensuring safety and accuracy in risk assessment.
“This app is the first step toward more preventive, personalized, and accessible medicine. We want to offer each patient a tool that not only informs but actively improves their quality of life,” explains Daniele Lezzi, co-founder of OneCareAI, senior researcher in the BSC’s Computer Sciences department, and lead developer of the Innostroke technology.
The launch of this initial version of the app represents a major milestone in the development of the Innostroke project, bringing patients and professionals closer to a new era in stroke prevention. With this tool, OneCareAI takes a decisive step toward democratizing access to advanced cerebrovascular health monitoring technologies, promoting a more accessible and efficient approach to stroke prevention.
